Combinatorial Creativity

The process of generating novel ideas, solutions, or creative outcomes by combining existing concepts, knowledge, elements, or experiences in new and unexpected ways. Rather than inventing entirely new ideas from scratch, combinatorial creativity emphasizes the rearrangement and recombination of known elements, producing innovations and insights through these novel intersections.

AI systems often emulate combinatorial creativity by generating new outputs based on the recombination of existing data, exemplified by generative models such as GPT.
